You are probably familiar with the story of the ancient Mayan calendar predicting the end of the world in 2012. It is disconcerting and touches in the realm of paranormal hocus-pocus that people scoff at but…. The History Channel has a new show coming out about the lost book of Nostradamus and it has some very startling revelations that may say exactly what the Mayans were saying. Is this lost book the work of Nostradamus and does he predict the apocalypse to come in the same year as the Mayans?
I will be working with the History Channel to bring you more information about the story and the show. Here is some press release information:
A mysterious book of cryptic prophecies has been discovered at the National Library in Rome, and there is evidence to suggest that it is the final work of the most famous and controversial prophet in the history of the world, Nostradamus. Even more startling than the discovery of the book, though, are the warnings it contains, which were so blasphemous and frightening in their time that they may have been intentionally suppressed until now. A brand-new special examines the life’s work of Nostradamus and the evidence and contents of this startling discovery in LOST BOOK OF NOSTRADAMUS, premiering Sunday, October 28th at 9:00pm ET/PT on The History Channel®.
Stay tuned, I will be bringing you lots more information, more videos and even a free game you can play. Here is my webpage on the subject: Nostradamus -You can see more videos and check out other stuff.
This past weekend I took a trip to King Richards Faire. It is a renaissance style faire that has been around for almost thirty years now. I haven’t been there in a while and it was pretty much the same as I remember it. I drank a little mead, held a few swords and watched a great joust in the arena. They put on a good show and it made for a nice Sunday. I got back in time to watch the Patriots steamroll the Cowboys. Anyhoo, I have put together a photo gallery on the stormthecastle.net website if you want to take a look. You also can sign up and post any of your own pictures to the gallery.
This is the actual castle that Vlad the Impaler lived in and it is the setting for the original Bram Stoker Dracula novel and it is now for sale.
The outside of the castle is absolutely gorgeous and I would imagine that the inside is equally gorgeous but I don’t think I would want to buy this place - it just seems like bad karma to me.
There has been quite a renaissance in the big ticket real estate market all throughout eastern europe. Many of these places have been used by film makers for many years and now the properties are finding other uses such as high end hotels, condos, and even casinos.
This particular castle was built in 1212 and was Vlad’s home in the 15th-century. It has been owned by the Romanian government for a very long time but has recently been reacquired by the Archduke Dominic von Hapsburg family.
Curious about the cost?
140 Million!
There are quite a few very similar types of properties for sale and you can read more about them at the forbes.com website:
