The Riddle of the Mysterious Medieval Castle Solved!
December 8th, 2008A couple of months ago I stumbled across a photo of a mysterious medieval castle perched on a cliff. I posted the picture to this blog asking for help. Here is the original article: Mysterious Medieval castle on the cliff
Heres the picture of the castle:

Anyway, I wasn’t even sure if the castle were real or something that was made up in Photoshop.
Yesterday I got an email from a friend I hadn’t heard from in a while. He has a large sea worthy sail boat and there is no telling where he could be on any given month. Anyhoo, he sends me a bunch of pictures of the castle without any explanation and at first I thought maybe he sailed over to take a look at it. Or just happened to run across it in his journeys. Some people just have that adventurous spirit!
Anyhoo, come to find out he has just been pretty much making treks up and down the eastern coast between Massachusetts and Florida. While doing some research he dug up the information about the castle and the pictures.
At least I now know that the castle is real! Well I have lots more pictures of the this beautiful and unique castle, information about it, a map to where it is and more. (It is currently an actual working restaurant). And seeing as its not far from Istanbul (which is on my travel list) I am someday going to stop in there and have a bite to eat. I will be sure to post pics for you! Anyway hiere is the page I created with the pics and info on my Medieval castle website. The Case of the Mysterious Medieval Castle solved!
