The New Age of Conan Game (Hyborian Adventures) has some unique features about it. And one of them is the crafting system.
When it comes to games and game playing I am a real packrat. I love to accumulate things and I love to make new things. I enjoy collecting up and questing after unique armor and weapons. For me that is more than half the fun of any game. It’s better than all the fighting!
One unique thing about the new Conan game is the crafting skill of architect where you can make buildings, castles, keeps, catapults, trebuchets and even whole cities. It seems to be pretty cool to me and it will be a lot of fun.
So, if you are probably never going to build a castle in real life you can still experience the thrill of building and owning your own castle in the virtual world of Hyboria! Who’s to say which is more real?

If you ever thought about having your very own castle, built from the ground up you don’t need to hire some European architect who is a direct descendant of Ludwig himself. Here is a link to a company in the states (Idaho) that custom builds real castles. The cost varies between 400 and 600 per square foot! And we are talking about real stone castles here!!
Anyhoo, if you are curious about the current state of castle building in america you might want to check the site out. I think I might send them an email and ask them if they would build me a one square foot castle - I might be able to swing that
When we think of Medieval Castles we almost invariably think of Britain and Ireland. When we think of Haunted Castles we invariably think of Transylvania and Eastern Europe. But Haunted Castles are all over the world including right here in North America. Yup, plenty of castles and plenty of hauntings. The latest installment in the Highlander franchise is Highlander: The Source; and it is coming to dvd on Feb 26. I am working with the good people at M80 And Lions Gate Entertainment in conjunction with this release.
I have received an advance copy of the movie and I will review it for you tomorrow. The people at M80 have also offered me a free DVD of the movie along with a poster to give away to one of my web visitors.
