I received the Press Release Kit for the upcoming History Channel World Premiere of the lost book of Nostradamus. So, soon I will be reviewing it and letting you know what I think.
I also want to remind you that I have a free book giveaway going on for the next four weeks courtesy of the good people over at Candlewick Press. This weeks contest ends sunday at midnight and the book I am giving away is Beowulf: A Tale of Blood, Heat, and Ashes. It’s a beautiful hard cover book that was illustrated by one of the lead artists for the Lord of the Rings Movies.
You are probably familiar with the story of the ancient Mayan calendar predicting the end of the world in 2012. It is disconcerting and touches in the realm of paranormal hocus-pocus that people scoff at but…. The History Channel has a new show coming out about the lost book of Nostradamus and it has some very startling revelations that may say exactly what the Mayans were saying. Is this lost book the work of Nostradamus and does he predict the apocalypse to come in the same year as the Mayans?
I will be working with the History Channel to bring you more information about the story and the show. Here is some press release information:
A mysterious book of cryptic prophecies has been discovered at the National Library in Rome, and there is evidence to suggest that it is the final work of the most famous and controversial prophet in the history of the world, Nostradamus. Even more startling than the discovery of the book, though, are the warnings it contains, which were so blasphemous and frightening in their time that they may have been intentionally suppressed until now. A brand-new special examines the life’s work of Nostradamus and the evidence and contents of this startling discovery in LOST BOOK OF NOSTRADAMUS, premiering Sunday, October 28th at 9:00pm ET/PT on The History Channel®.
Stay tuned, I will be bringing you lots more information, more videos and even a free game you can play. Here is my webpage on the subject: Nostradamus -You can see more videos and check out other stuff.
It’s official! I am obsessed with making mead and I have ordered and received enough honey, materials and equipment to make ten more batches!
I am a big bear of a guy and hairier than I would like to be. In fact, I am so hairy that when I walk around the house without a shirt on my kids razz me about it being too hot and I should take my sweater off! Ha! Very funny.
But this is as far as the similarity goes. I am not a bear and I don’t have any burning desire for honey! So, how is it that I find myself looking at 50 pounds of honey in my kitchen?
Well, my obsession has definitely turned to the art of brewing that medieval drink called Mead. And by the picture you can see that I am going all out with it!
Yup, my first batch isn’t even complete and I am now making ten more batches!!
Anyhoo, you can read all about my mead adventures on my new subsite and you can get step-by-step instructions on how you can brew this nectar of the gods! So pull up the drawbridge and travel on over to the mead hall and check it out! The Joy of Mead
All this stuff arrived today and tomorrow I start the Mead Making! I will keep you posted. I have ten different recipes to try and who knows, maybe I will give away a bottle or two - maybe
