Heroic Dreams - All Things Medieval

I was channel surfing this afternoon, mostly switching between college football shows when I ran into Jane and the Dragon. Because it has a medieval theme I gave it a chance and after a few minutes I had forgotten all about the football games.

This animation is simply enchanting! I was an unabashed full grown man watching a children’s animation and enjoying every minute of it.

 Why did I like it so much? Well, not only does it have a medieval theme it is also quite amazing to look at! The graphics are simply amazing. Everything is drawn with a loving attention to detail and a real sensitivity with the pencil. I have to give a big kudo to the team of animators. They have come up with a unique feel for this animation. Both the chracters and the backgrounds are very well done.

 But, not only is the look of it really nice it also has a nice wholesome story line. It is all about wholesome, knightly qualities like working hard, being honest, being fair and doing the right thing -without being preachy.

Hey, if you like medieval stuff you have got to check out this animation - no matter how old you are!
